Shane McGuigan: I predict a stoppage! Frampton will stop Martinez again

KIKO Martinez will bring the same game plan to the Titanic Quarter as he did the Odyssey Arena and will suffer the same stoppage faith according to Carl Frampton coach Shane McGuigan.

Martinez claims to be a rejuvenated soul and fighter since his sole knock out reverse suffered at the gloves of ‘The Jackal’ back in February of 2013.

The current IBF super bantamweight champion of the World has promised his 27 year old challenger a different fight this time round and has confidently predicted revenge.

However, whilst McGuigan is aware his charge faces a tough test on Saturday night he is claims Frampton will emerge with the title after stopping the visiting Spaniard.

“I see a tough fight, the same fight as we had the last time. I don’t see anything different,” McGuigan told the Belfast Newsletter.

“Kiko has improved and Carl Frampton has improved. But Kiko has only improved a little bit – while Carl has made great improvements.

“I think Kiko will fight the way he has always fought and he is not going to get up on his toes and box.

“He will come out and throw loads of left and right hooks over the top, so Carl has to stay calm and stay cool as I know he will.

“For the first few rounds he will fight on the back foot and then start peppering him with heavy shots and put the fear of god into him.

“I expect a another stoppage at some stage of the fight,” he concluded.
