Sean Creagh looking to start 2018 with a statement stoppage

Sean Creagh [7(2)-1(1)] is building momentum and ready to continue marching toward a domestic title fight.

The Tallaght light welterweight gets his 2018 underway on Saturday night on the SK Promotions ‘Collision Course’ show at the Citwest Hotel in Dublin.

Creagh headlined the inaugural SK bill back in November, and is out again quickly at the same venue as he looks to set up a big fight before his impending emigration to Canada.

The 28-year-old takes on Hungarian Gabor Kovacs [7(6)-5(4)], a familiar visitor to these shores, and wants to make a statement and start the year off with a bang.

Creagh told Irish-Boxing.com that “I’m fighting a lad that’s been in with David Oliver Joyce, Crank Whitehouse, and a few others.”

“Davey Oliver done a number on him so I’ll be looking to do the same, Crank went the distance.”

“It’s been a great camp under Eddie [Hyland, coach] really seeing me improving all the time- another camp equals a better me.”

The six-round bout will be Creagh’s second in a row, and the Killinarden slugger is keen to kick on.

“I’m ready,” stated Creaghzy Horse.

“I’m aiming for another win, marching towards a title or titles this year.”

“It’s a big year ahead, I’ll be ready to fight where and whenever – I’m just letting my team MTK guide me, what they say I do.”

“Tickets have gone great as always, just under the 100 mark so the parish is still behind me. I couldn’t ask for better support.”
