Belfast Promotions brought boxing back to Dublin with a show at the Red Cow Hotel on Friday with a host of exciting Dublin prospects on show.

Ian Tims started the night off with a comfortable 40-36 victory over stubborn Hungarian Tamas Danko, ‘Timmsy’ who was having his first fight in over 2 years never really got out of first gear and was unfortunate not to end the fight sooner, Hungarian Danko felt Timmsy’s power round after round but wasn’t giving in.

Ciaran Bates took his record to 2-0-0 following a first round KO win over Miklos Szilagyi. It took Dubliner Bates only 1:45 to dispatch his opponent with right hook.

Declan Geraghty got another victory to his name defeating Ignac Kassai 40-35. ‘Pretty Boy’ fighting in his home town for the first time brought out a fantastic support and put Kassai down in round 1 with a left hook following a number of uppercuts. Ignac recovered well and hit Declan with a couple of his own but the Irishman dealt well and got a deserved victory.

Philip Sutcliffe Jr continued his unbeaten record with a points win over Scotland’s Martin McCord. The Scotsman was down in three out of the four rounds however it ended with a score 40-33 in favour of Sutcliffe Jr who took his record to 6 wins 0 defeats.

Sean Big Sexy Turner lasted longer in the ring this time around following his one punch KO debut win. Big Sexy defeated Istvan Ruzsinszky with an impressive 4th round KO of the year contender.

Topping the bill ‘Cool Hand’ Luke Keeler registered his sixth pro win with a 59-55 win over tough Hungarian Laszlo Kovacs. Keeler was slightly over eager to land the big shot in the early rounds but found his rhythm in the latter rounds and landed some stinging body shots leaving his opponent gasping at the final bell.
