Paddy McDonagh to return next month

Paddy McDonagh [10(0)-2(0)] will return to the ring nextmonth in England.

The Irish light heavyweight champion will face an opponent to-be-announced over eight rounds at the K2 Leisure Centre in Sussex on Saturday April 9th.

The 24 year old Mullingar southpaw has not fought in ten months and will be hoping to kick-start his career on the Ben Jones-topped card.

McDonagh won the Irish title three years ago with a comprehensive victory over John Waldron but is yet to defend the belt.

Also appearing on the Assassin Boxing-promoted show will be McDonagh’s brother JJ who defends his Irish super middleweight title in a rematch against Darren Cruise.
