November fight night confirmed for Dublin

Ciaran Bates will top his first fight bill as boxing returns to the Red Cow on November 6.

The hungry lightweight prospect will be joined on the bill by Shorty Carroll, Gerard ‘Crank’ Whitehouse and four other names to be confirmed over the coming weeks.

It’s just the sixth time Bates trades leather as a pro, but the 29 year old is keen to get into Irish title contention and is hoping for a step up in quality and rounds come November.

The Bates topped bill is the third small hall show to play out in the Red Cow this year with previous cards playing host to wins for the likes of Tommy McCarthy, Phil Sutcliffe Jr, Craig O’Brien and Steve Collins Jr.

MGM look set to confirm a return to the Stadium in October so the card will be the second Dublin fight night in the space of a matter of weeks.
