New Belfast Pro Show CONFIRMED
MHD Promotions have confirmed their third card of the year.
Following successful shows at the Europa Hotel in Belfast in February and April, Mark Dunlop’s outfit will return to the venue for a show on Saturday October 13th.
Four fighters are currently listed to appear – Lagmore lightweight Paul Hyland Jr, Divis lightweight Joe Fitzpatrick, Coalisland super feather Feargal McCrory, and Newtownards featherweight Stevie Quinn Jr.
Hyland [18(7)-1(1)] will be making his return to the ring following his British title loss to Ritson. It will be the start of a rebuilding process for Hyland who still has his eyes on the Lonsdale belt. With Ritson expected to vacate soon and Andy Townend and Atif Shafiq set to box in an eliminator on October 5th, 28-year-old Hylo will be looking to get straight back in the mix.
‘The Dragon’ Fitzpatrick [8(5)-0] will be boxing for the first time in almost a year and will be keen to kickstart a fairly stop-start pro career.
McCrory [8(3)-0] missed out on the previous MHD bill through injury and is another looking to get back in the mix following a brea-out 2017.
Quinn [8(2)-2(0)] was impressive in February after two years out and is primed to begin moving toward domestic fights.
More fighters are expected to be added to the bill in the coming weeks and months.

The current line-up does not feature Poleglass super feather James Tennyson [22(18)-2(2)] who is the reigning European and Commonwealth champion.
‘The Assassin’ is set to defend his continental belt versus Frenchman Samir Ziani, with Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn having won purse bids.
Hearn has submitted two potential dates for this fight to the European Boxing Union – Saturday September 22nd in London on the Anthony Joshua v Alexander Povetkin undercard at Wembley Stadium or an unannounced card in Belfast on Friday September 21st.
This Friday September 21st show would, assumedly, be part of the JDNXTGEN series at a venue such as the Waterfront Hall and packaged together as part of a ‘big weekend of boxing’ with the Joshua pay-per-view the following night.
However, with Dunlop, who is Hearn’s ‘man on the ground’ for Belfast shows, scheduling a card for three weeks later, this would suggest that Tennyson-Ziani will land on the Joshua-Povetkin bill.
