Nevin to make Irish debut on November 15 Return of the Mack card

OLYMPIC silver medal winner Joe John Nevin will make his Irish debut at the Three Arena on November 15.

Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn revealed the Greenblood’s puncher has been added to an already mouthwatering Matthew Macklin undercard.

Nevin, who returned from a six month injury lay off with a first round stoppage at the Ring of Dreams, North Carolina on Saturday night, will fight for the first the third time as a pro and the for the first time as a paid fighter in Ireland on the Return of the Mack Card.

“John Joe Nevin confirmed last night that he will have his first fight in Ireland here on November 15 on (The Return of the Mack) Card. It is very important for the card and I am delighted to be working with Tom Moran to bringing John Joe to fight in Ireland after his win on Saturday night,” Hearn said in Dublin today.

“Tom Moran was eager to get John Joe on the show and why wouldn’t he be it is massive show in Ireland. John Joe as a result of the Olympics is a name the casuals will know too and hopefully we can use him on shows in the future if possible.”
