MTK news – Four Irish boxers receive new fight dates

It has been a busy week for Mack The Knife Global.

The Irish management company this week became advisors to two-weight champion Carl Frampton [23(14)-1(0)] as ‘The Jackal’ moves into the next stage of his career.

Over the past few days there has also been plenty of fight news for the Puerto Banus-based outfit’s many Irish fighters.

First up, on Friday October 6th, Dunshaughlin super featherweight Jono Carroll [14(1)-0] will fight in Belfast at The Devenish Complex.

In his first fight since defeating Johnny Quigley in June, Carroll will feature on a Kieran Farrell Promotions bill that also includes Padraig McCrory, Mark Morris, Mathew Fitzsimons, Dylan Moran, and Sean Creagh.

Two Dublin MTK fighters will then box the following night in London.

Super featherweight Declan Geraghty [15(4)-2(1)] and cruiserweight Ian Tims [13(4)-4(3)].

The pair will feature on an MTK London card at the Brentwood Centre on Saturday October 7th. Geraghty will be looking to warm up for a big fight at the end of the year, while Tims will be hoping to bounce back from his Irish title loss to Luke Watkins in June.

Also appearing on the show in Essex will be Daniel Egbunike, Jack Healy, Idris Hill, Richie Gray, Vinzienz Kuech, Tey Lynn Jones, Ashley Sexton, Adrian Martin, Mark Little, Billy Allington, Jake O’Meara, Darell Church, Georgii Bacon, and Lewis Smith.

Finally, at the end of the month, Donegal light welter Shaun McShane [5(0)-4(0)-1] fights on an MTK Scotland card at the Paisley Lagoon Leisure Centre.

The appearance on the Saturday October 28th ‘Fright Night’ card will see McShane, who is not managed by MTK, build back towards another big fight following his two Scottish title tilts last year.

Also on the bill in Glasgow will be Iain Butcher, Jordan McCorry, Paul Kean, Ahmed Ibrahim, Marc Kerr, John Thain, Stefan Sanderson, Adam McKenzie, Calvin McCord, and Belfast’s Sonny Upton.
