– Dublin boxing returned with FS Promotions’s ‘The Future’ at the National Stadium.

– Tyson Fury’s heavyweight World title rematch with Wladimir Klitschko was postponed.

– There was massive news for Jobstown’s Pajo Hyland as he secured a clash with Matchroom star Josh Warrington next month in Leeds.

– Christina McMahon learnt that she will most likely get a second shot at WBC flyweight champ Zulina Munoz.

– Declan Trainor revealed that he is to make history and return to ‘amateur’ boxing.

– Sean McGlinchey announced his intentions to go the other way and he is turning professional.

– McGlinchey’s Commonwealth Games team-mate Ruairi Dalton also made the move to the paid game and has linked up with John Breen.

– The jam-packed undercard for Frampton v Santa Cruz in New York emerged.

– Stephen Ormond’s most recent opponent, Miguel Jiminez, was revealed to have failed a post-fight drugs test.

– Andy Lee announced his intentions for an Autumn return to the ring.

– There were plenty of medals at the European Youth Championships in Russia, and the European Junior Championships in Hungary.

– A tense selection process saw Michael O’Reilly and Dean Walsh chosen for the final AOB Olympic qualifier in Baku.

– At the subsequent tournament in Azerbaijan, Michael O’Reilly clinched his spot in Rio, while Dean Gardiner narrowly missed out.
