For the love of Hearn – Keeler fighting for Matchroom’s Promotional might

There is a lot more on the line the WBC International middleweight title on the line when Luke Keeler take Tom Doran in Liverpool early next month.

Not pride, honour and other cliches, but the full backing of Matchroom is at stake.

Keeler believes a victory over the only pro to defeat him in Liverpool on April 2nd will ensure he will get the promotional mite of the UK’s biggest Promotional outfit behind him moving forward.

Indeed ‘Cool Hand’ believes it is a direct shootout between him and Doran and suggests the winner of the Valentine’s Day Prizefighter rematch will get a whole lot of Eddie Hearn lover.

“Win this and move forward with the full backing of Matchroom, that is how I am looking at it,” Keeler told Irish-boxing.com.

“I think Eddie might be looking at it as in which one of these lads will put all the Matchroom power behind. I think he might favour myself, but that means nothing before the fight I will go beat Doran and make my own destiny.”

“This will open doors and I will have the full backing of Matchroom when I win. I think Eddie has taken a shine to me. He has given me a second chance, gave me a few fights after Prizefighter and after I was out for nine months.”

“He was impressed with my last fight, he was sitting ringside calling out shots for me to throw, he walked out with me and as soon as the fight was over he said we are making the Doran fight. It is set up for me I think.”
