Lindsay planning to bank some valuable rounds before title fight

Martin Lindsay is hoping to oil up the machine and rid himself of some ring rust in the Devinish this Saturday.

‘The Mac Man’ fights for the first time since his failed attempt to beat Lee Selby and reclaim the British title in the Odyssey Arena in February 2013 and hopes to get some rounds in before he challenges Josh Warrington for the Commonwealth title on May 21.

The popular Belfast puncher also revealed the British title could be on the line in his Leeds hosted Warrington fight.

“I am looking forward to Saturday night and I am up for the fight against Warrington for the Commonwealth title,” Lindsay told The Belfast Newsletter.

“The British title may also be on the line that night, so this is a huge opportunity for me to get back into the mix.

“But I have to win on Saturday and it is good to get a few rounds under my belt before I go to Leeds and hopefully get my hands on a title,” he added.
