Jason Quigley signs pro terms with Golden Boy Promotions

JASON Quigley has become the latest Irish amateur star to sign pro terms and will punch for pay under the Golden Boy banner.

Quigley follows the likes of John Joe Nevin and Tommy McCarty into the paid ranks after signing pro terms with Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy promotion company.

The 22 year old European gold and World silver medal winner was an Olympic medal hope for Ireland, but has set his sights on professional World titles rather than Olympic gold.

The talented Donegal middleweight becomes the second Irish fighter after Jamie Kavanagh on the books of the massive promotional outfit.

The terms of the deal have yet to be confirmed, nor has it be revealed whether or not Quigley will fight out of Ireland or America, but with Golden Boy’s backing their is no doubt the popular middleweight has every chance of fulfilling his potential regardless.
