Isaac Dogboe promises to knock Carl Frampton out and call out Conor McGregor

Isaac Dogboe [20(14)-2(1)] is predicting a knock out win in his proposed clash with Carl Frampton [26(15)-2(0)]- and says once that is achieved he will go in search of a fight with Conor McGregor [0-1(1)].

A clash between ‘The Jackal’ and ‘Royal Storm’ has been rumoured and muted throughout the month of September, but nothing official has been announced as of yet.

The Belfast fighter revealed Dogboe was just one of a number opponents put to him when reports of a meeting first started circulating. As recent as this morning the Ghanaian-Brit was speaking confidently about winning a clash between two former world champions and sparring partners, but wasn’t as forthright with regard to a deal being signed – in fact he suggested Frampton was calling him out.

In saying that, fresh talk now has the fight taking place in Las Vegas on November 30 – and if the fight is made the former WBO super bantamweight world champion is confident he will stop Ireland second ever two weight world title holder.

The 25-year-old  reveals he will then put MMA star Conor McGregor on his hit list.

“I’m telling you this from the bottom of my heart. I was sparring Frampton when I was 1-0 and Frampton he was a world champion, he was at the top of his game and I pushed him back, I pushed him around the ring. I am not going to go into details I am just going to leave it at that,” Dogboe started in a video he posted online.

“Dogboe Frampton, when this fight comes on and everyone knows I said it first, I am going to knock him out and then I am going to call for that Irish man Conor McGregor.”

Stopping Frampton hasn’t worked for a host of top level fighters, including the likes of Leo Santa Cruz and Nonito Donaire, but Dogboe remains confident.

The McGregor fight is a pipe dream, size difference would make it a no go well before you have to consider many other reasons it wouldn’t suit the UFC star.

‘The Notorious’ name drop may be an attempt to try antagonize Irish fight fans, but while he might be trying to get under the skin of the Irish fight fan today he claims they will all be supporters by the end of November.

“Look, TV want to see this fight, ESPN wants to see this fight, the general public want to see it, Top Rank want this fight. After I knocked him out the whole of Ireland will be screaming Neho, Neho, Neho, that’s Royal Storm.”
