Irish team + draw for Feliks Stamm Multi-Nations

A four-man Irish team will fight this week at the prestigious Feliks Stamm multi-nations tournament in Warsaw, Poland.

The action begins today and three top young Irish boxers will take to the ring.

Belfast’s James McGivern, the U22 bantamweight champion, will take on France’s Rio 2016 silver medalist Sofiane Oumiha in the preliminary rounds.

Oumiha defeated Elite champion and runner-up Pat Mongan and George Bates at the weekend in the Dublinn International Round RObin.

Dublin big man Thomas Carty is also in action against a French opponent, Djamili Dini Aboudou Moinzeland, and Kieran Molloy faces Norway’s Jamshid Nasari.

Limerick bantam Myles Casey received a bye into the last-four and meets Poland’s Jaroslaw Iwanow on Friday.
