Ian Tims handed new fight date following Belfast disappointment

Ian Tims [12(3)-3(2)] will not have too long to wait to get over the disappointment of not fighting last weekend.

The Dublin cruiser was set to fight on the inaugural Ginley Promotions bill at the Devenish Complex in Belfast on Saturday, but saw his scrap with Florians Strupits fall through due to administrative issues.

Thankfully a new date has been confirmed for the Clondalkin hardman, and Tims will now fight on the MTK Scotland ‘Ambition’ card at the Meadowbank Arena in Edinburgh this coming Saturday [March 11th].

The news comes just hours after Timsey’s MTK stablemate Sean Turner, who also saw a fight on the ‘Dust Up at the Devenish’ bill fall through, have a new date confirmed for this Friday [March 10th] on the Belfast BoxNation show at the Waterfront Hall.

The card in Edinburgh on Saturday will be topped by a Scottish super middleweight title scrap between Rhys Pagan and Brian Forsyth, and will also feature appearances from Tommy Philbin, Lewis Benson, Ratu Latianara, Stephen Tiffney, Thomas Dickson, Steven Beattie, Iain Trotter, and Monte Ogilvie.
