Hillerby Hits the Heights in Belfast with Win over Waldron

In an entertaining, competitive, bout at the Devenish Venue in Belfast at the weekend, Joe Hillerby outpointed John Waldron over ten rounds.

Belfast’s Hillerby, who is looking to drop back down the divisions soon, was the busier boxer and ‘The Faith’ impressed the judges with his aggressive style

Mayo man Waldron was returning to the ring after two years away, and the 40 year old ‘Western Warrior’ looked game throughout.

After the bout, Waldron was disappointed with the scorecards, believing that he comfortably won the bout, and revealed that Hillerby, 27, has promised him a rematch.

Sandy Row’s Hillerby’s record now stands at 11-3(2), while Waldron’s falls to 5(2)-12(7).
