‘He’s obviously all over the shop’ – Keeler predicts he’d ruin McGregor’s prolonged party

Luke Keeler suggests the party lifestyle of Conor McGregor would prevent him from making it into the fifth round if the pair were to fight.

After a social media back and fort and revelations with regard to fight agreements and talks via Irish-boxing.com, ‘Cool Hand’ has all but accepted the pair won’t fight.

Indeed, he was always aware securing a clash with his former Crumlin BC stablemate was a long shot , but was motivated to ‘put manners’ on what appears to the the wayward UFC star, make some money and a have high profile lead into a world title fight, so he pursued it nonetheless.

Now having seen his MTK’s offer to McGregor rebuffed and having some inside knowledge the Ballyfermot middleweight world title hopeful is confident the fight won’t ever happen.

In fact he doesn’t know if the former two weight UFC champion will ever fight again.

One thing the WBO European ranking title holder is sure of is, if the pair were to meet ‘The Notorious’ wouldn’t last past four.

“I don’t know if he’ll fight again. He needs to get himself training and worry about himself,” said Keeler when speaking to Kevin Byrne of The Sun Newspaper.

“I don’t know if he will even step foot in a ring again. I don’t think there’s a chance of it happening but you never know.

“I win a world title on St Paddy’s Day and it’s probably more attractive for him.

“Whether he gets back and even competes is a different story. He’s obviously all over the shop with behaviour like that.

“It doesn’t matter who they are, if he was a high-level fighter, if they’re partying and living that life for the past year, I don’t think you’ve any chance – three or four rounds.”

Even if McGregor came to the ring fit and healthy he’s have ‘no chance’ predicts Keeler.
Asked about the prospect of facing the same McGregor that took Floyd Mayweather ten rounds in the boxing ring two years ago, Keeler was equally confident in predicting victory.

“He fought Mayweather who’s only a welterweight, hands destroyed and a 40-year-old man, he carried him a few rounds. He done OK but I think myself, I stop him in three or four rounds. Even if he’s at that kind of level that he was at, but he’s abused himself. He’s enjoyed himself.

“I’m just going to focus on my side of things and continue to do well. Win a world title on Paddy’s weekend and obviously it’s just business and a pay day, it’s not personal with me. He obviously took it personally having someone call him out but that’s his attitude.”
