He happily played the panto villain at the top table, smirking as he told Carl Frampton fans that their man was getting stopped come February 27th.

However, Eddie Hearn did manage to get the a booing Belfast audience to call a temporary truce, and even prompted them to break out in applause with a welcome revelation at the third and final stop of the Frampton v Quigg press tour.

The Matchroom boss, who had to take some quick witted jibes every time he tried to talk, attempted to smooth ‘The Jackal Army’ over by revealing that he is bringing the Sky Sports cameras to Belfast in April.

Hearn, who Frampton has expressed a serious dislike for over the last three days – making him public enemy number one in the Jackal’s lair – says he ‘misses Belfast’ and the fans who were taunting him as Quigg’s promoter on Wednesday, and revealed that he is looking to bring the Sky Cameras back in April.

The Matchroom boss wants to start building bantamweight prospect Ryan Burnett in his home town.

Indeed, speaking to Irish-boxing.com post-fight, the Englishman confirmed that, if the young talent claims the British title by beating Jason Booth in Manchester this weekend, he will put Burnett on the massive February 27th card before bringing him back to top a Belfast bill in the April.
