Hanney goes to Work in holiday Island Bali ahead of WBA PAN Asian title shot

JAKE Hanney is in the beautiful surrounds of Bali not basking in the sun but readying himself for a massive WBA Pan Asian fight.

Hanney has been offered the chance to fight for the Pan Asian belt after just three fights. Even more exciting for the Australian based welterweight if he wins the vacant title he will become mandatory for WBA PABA belt, a strap which offers passage into the World top 15.

Not surprisingly Hanney is taking the November tilt seriously and thanks to a new sponsor has gone the holiday Island to put in his pre fight work.

The Dubliner is training along side WBA PAPA and IBO middle weight champion Ben McCulloch, who is getting ready for his WBA World interim title fight with Fedor Chudinov in Russia in November.

“We finally landed a top sponsor which is MAP Consulting Group,  which is brilliant news for us,” Hanney told Irish-boxing.com.

“I’m currently in a training camp in Bali with current WBA PAPA and IBO middle weight champion Ben McCulloch , who is getting ready for his WBA World interim title fight with Fedor chudinov in Russia in November ,which I think he will easily win and that puts him mandatory for Carl Froch.

“It’s been a really good camp so far and getting some great sparring sessions with Ben.  I’m just really focused on my fight in November and bringing the WBA PAN Asia home and working my way up the world rankings.”
