‘Grow Some Balls’ – Matty Boreland ready to ‘Spark’ Promotional Backed Brits at Croke Park
Matty Boreland says he’d gladly spark either of Matchroom or Queensberry’s big little men if they are brave enough to face him.
The Irish super bantamweight champion wants on the Katie Taylor Croke Park card and wants a fight to match the occasion.
His manager has named the best, the two big British promoters have at the weight, declaring ‘Bam Bam’ would gladly smash Dylan Arbuckle or Joe McGrail if they were willing to trade leather.
“Dylan Arbuckle is ranked 3 in Britain, and Joe McGrail is ranked number 5 in Britain. Matty is ranked number 7 and is ready and willing to spark either of the lads out,” Ian Gaughran told Irish-boxing.com.
“If they want to fight on a history-making bill, then they know where we are. Grow some balls and let’s go.”
Considering McGrail is Matchroom aligned, he would be the more likely of the two. The Liverpool native won the Central Area title last time out and has been backed for big things. Arbuckle, who could be an August 1 option, won the British title last time out.
Gaughran is also playing all-Irish matchmaker and has planted a seed regarding a domestic clash.
The IGB boss says former Irish Champion Ruadhan Farrell is willing to fight JB Promotions starlet Paul Loonam on the card.
“Also, Rudy Farrell and Paul Loonam are there too. How about we make both fights happen on what’s going to be the biggest fight card Ireland has ever seen!”
