Tyrone McKenna learnt his Golden Contract quarterfinal fate this afternoon.

There was massive interest in the draw due to Tyrone McKenna’s beef with Lewis Benson and particularly his verbal and indeed physical spats with England’s Ohara Davies.

Fans tuned in to see how the pair would behave in close proximity to each during the draw and to see whether or not the trio would kick off during the process.

McKenna, Benson and Davies picked the first three red balls, meaning they were going to be chosen as opposition and couldn’t face each other.

Scotland’s Benson was first picked, Belfast southpaw McKenna was the third to be chosen and Davies was left till last.

Mikey Sayki, who drew blue ball #3 chose to face the colourful Irish boxing character and the pair will trade leather on Saturday night at York Hall.

The English fighter is a bit of a unknown quantity and has lost two of ten fights, but is Southern Area champion.

His biggest win came against a then undefeated Siar Ozgul, but the gloss has been somewhat taken from that victory by the fact the Turk has lost three of his four fights since.

The full draw is as follows:

Mikey Sakyi vs Tyrone McKenna,

Kieran Gething vs Lewis Benson

Mohamed Mimoune vs Darren Surtees

Logan Yoon vs Ohara Davies
