Furious McKenna gatecrashes Davies interview- pair nearly come to blows in York Hall car park

It almost got physical well before it is meant to, as long term verbal sparring partners Tyrone McKenna and Ohara Davies had an altercation in London tonight.

The Golden Contract light welterweight contestants were both at York to take in the quarter finals of the featherweight version of the tournament.

In fact a jovial McKenna accompanied Tyrone McCullagh to the ring ahead of his show opening clash with England’s Razaq Najib dressed as a giant panda.

His mood was sensationally different sometime later as he confronted Davies backstage.

‘Two Tanks’, a fighter ‘The Mighty Celt’ has been calling out for sometime and a fighter he has verbal back and forts with for over two years, was mid an IFL Interview when McKenna came storming in.

‘Who are going to smack, ‘ McKenna asked as he went head to head with the divisive star.

A scuffled ensued – and by all accounts the pair came close to trading blows before being separated.

Watch below:

McKenna and Davies could fight and get paid for it in the ring just yards from the car park they had Friday’s altercation in.

Both fight again on November 22 and depending on how the unique draw – which takes place during fight week – unfolds they could fight each other.

Both had a different view of proceedings on Twitter after the fact.
