Féile undercard update – three more fighters added to Conlan v Nikitin bill

Three more names have been confirmed for the to the eagerly anticipated Conlan vs. Nikitin bill at Belfast’s Féile an Phobail on August 3.

An intriguing clash between Alfredo Meli and Olympian Araik Marutjan was confirmed earlier this week and quickly followed up by the news Smackwear Irish-boxing.com Knock out of the Year winner Padraig McCrory would appear.

Now in a ‘but wait there’s more’ moment MTK have confirmed three more names added to what looks set to be an exciting bill.

Callum Bradley [2-0], Seanie Duffy[1(1)-0] and Dee Sullivan [1-0] will all have their chance to shine on an #MTKFightNight screened by BT Sport in association with Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions and also on ESPN+ in association with Top Rank.

Omagh super-featherweight Bradley has kicked off his professional career with a pair of victories at the Ulster Hall and will be looking to extend his early winning run at the Falls Park.

Keady lightweight Duffy fights for a second time on the bill as does Belfast cruiserweight Dee ‘The ‘Vanilla Gorilla’ Sullivan.

Speaking about the additions MTK Global Professional Development Coordinator Jamie Conlan said,

“What opportunities these are for three of the brightest young things in Northern Irish boxing.

“These three all fought on the same bill last time out and now they’re all heading for a night they’ll never forget. We’ve high hopes for all of them and believe they’ll show this city what they’re all about on that big stage.”

Headlining an incredible occasion in the Falls Park is Conlan’s younger brother; former world amateur champion Michael Conlan, who gets his chance to avenge his famously controversial Olympic defeat to Vladimir Nikitin.

Already confirmed for what’s fast becoming a lengthy undercard are a quartet of established Belfast stars in Paddy Barnes, Sean McComb, Alfredo Meli and Padraig McCrory while Anthony Cacace will challenge for the British super featherweight title on the card.
