Exciting Dublin prospect among three new fighters confirmed on Barnes Harris card

Three more names have been added to the next big bill at the Ulster Hall.

This week it was announced that Belfast flyweight Paddy Barnes will take on European champion Jay Harris  at the famous venue on Friday October 11th and  the first four undercard fighters were confirmed yesterday.

Today three more names have been added to the list as a solid card, that could turn extremely exciting depending on the opponents confirmed.

Yesterday it was announced that Marco McCullough, Sean McComb, Gary Cully, and Lewis Crocker will all feature – and today Irish-boxing.com reported McComb will challenge for the BBBofC Celtic title on the #MTKFightNight.

Now it’s been revealed Sean Duffy, Callum Bradley and Pierce O’Leary will join them.

Having had to wait around for his debut Armagh lightweight Duffy [2(1)-0] will return to the venue where it all began for him and will trade leather for the third time in just five months.

Tyrone super feather ‘Cool’ Bradley [3-0] will look to make it four wins in 2019 as he maintains his active start to the pro game.

Dublin teen Pierce O’Leary will debut on the card. The Pete Taylor trained puncher will face a yet to be confirmed opponent.

Shankill super feather McCullough [22(12)-4(3)] will be returning to the ring following his statement knockout win over Declan Geraghty in May at the same venue. This followed a dramatic win over Spanish contender Ruddy Encarnacion and another big fight for the 29-year-old would be welcomed.

Turf Lodge light welter McComb [9(4)-0] dominated French hardman Renald Garrido earlier this month and the rapidly-rising ‘Public Nuisance’ has been handed a title shot.

Naas lightweight Cully [8(4)-0] is hoping to make a return after suffering a nasty cut on his knuckle in his last outing in March. The Sarto southpaw was due to box in May but the wound reopened and he has been recuperating and building since.

Finally there is Sandy Row welter Crocker [9(6)-0] who is back following a pair of good wins over Juamane Camero and Karim Aliliche on the last two Ulster Hall bills. Now training with Ger McManus and Daniel Anderson, the power puncher will hopefully receive another solid test as he builds towards a title tilt.

Opponents for the quartet will be confirmed in due course.

The card in eight weeks’ time will be streamed live on YouTube and on ESPN+ in America.
