Dylan Moran [10(5)-1(1)] has vowed to come back stronger following his shock first career loss.

The Waterford welterweight made his American debut on Friday night in New York and it would end in disaster.

Moran was knocked out heavily by Kenyan Dennis Okoth in the third round of their clash on a Star Boxing card in Upstate New York.

Having won the opening two rounds, the 24-year-old got caught trading in the third and was dropped multiple times.

Moran has reassured followers that he is okay following the scary-looking finish and is approaching the result with maturity.

In a post to social media, ‘The Real Deal’ described how the fight “didn’t go as planned but I’m coming home in full health which is the most important thing.”

“After the fight, ;ast night was the toughest night of my life, a bitter pill to swallow but it’s the card I’ve been dealt.”

“There’s no excuses, I was there fit and ready but it didn’t happen that’s boxing and life, you have to take the bad with the good. Credit to Dennis and his team.”

“They say you’ll see who’s who when you lose; I lost last night and I received as much support as I have ever had and it means the world to me. To each and every one of you, thank you.”

Moran is determined to come back from the defeat and the Kilmacthomas man remains upbeat.

The popular Déise puncher outlined how “if you think that’s it for Dylan Moran, well then you don’t really know me.”

“Through hard work and belief I got myself to the big stage in America and through the same I’ll get myself back on track.”
