Jason Quigley [16(12)-1(1)] believes himself and Andy Lee are the best dream team since Harchester United.

After a period of soul searching post his first career defeat, suffered at the gloves of Tureano Johnson in July, the Donegal middleweight asked the former world champion at 160lbs to coach him.

Now after a full camp with the Limerick man, who also trains Paddy Donovan, the Golden Boy fighter knows he has made the right choice.

Quigley claims he has been learning everyday under Lee’s guidance and seems to be benefiting from working with a coach, that not too long ago, went through the exact same experience as himself.

“It’s been top class and every day has been a learning day with Andy. The relationship has just got better and better every single day. The preparation has been top class. I’m feeling really, really good and I’m ready for action,” Quigley said from LA.

“Everything has gone smooth with me and Andy. He’s been there, he’s done it, he’s been through the mill with ups and downs. He’s a pleasure to be around because he’s so calm, controlled and collected. It’s a dream team.”

The 28-year-old returns to action for the first time since the Johnson reverse at the Hangar on the West Coast of American tonight.

Quigley is in confident mood ahead of the bout with Abraham Cordero [13(7)-4(1)] and predicts fans will notice some changes.

“I’m feeling good and I’m feeling confident.

“I got a good look at the opponent, stared him in the eyes. I’m ready for action and I mean business.”

“We’ve been working on a few different things in the gym. Nothing major, but you’re going to see a different mindset, a few different tweaks in my technique. I’m going in there to do damage.”
