De Valle still to be lifted on Frampton foe- ‘Jackal’ back on the opponent hunt

Carl Frampton [26(15)-2(0)] is back on the opponent hunt again.

The Belfast fighter returns to the ring and fights for the first time since his IBF featherweight world title defeat to Josh Warrington next month.

‘The Jackal’ will trade leather for the first time in just under a year on a Top Rank promoted, ESPN broadcast, Las Vegas hosted fight card on November 30.

The former two weight world champion and extremely popular fight figure will fight on the same card as Oscar Valdez, the former undefeated WBO featherweight champ will debut at super featherweight in a co feature.

However, while he knows the when and there where there are issues with regard to the who.

Frampton himself revealed he had seen a list of potential foes before news of DeValle broke and his opponent may be drawn from them. The Jamie Moore trained fighter, also confirmed ESPN were pushing for him to be a meaningful clash and a bout worthy of co feature status.

There are suggestions, that if Frampton comes through his November 30 return, he will fight for a world title early 2020.

The former super bantamweight and featherweight world title holder has been strongly linked with Jamel Herring.

The American is the WBO super featherweight world champion, meaning a clash with 33-year-old southpaw Semper Fi would give Frampton the chance to become Ireland’s first ever three weight world champion.
