David Oliver Joyce [11(8)-1(1)] will look to return to winning ways in a big fight at the Ulster Hall early next year.

The Olympian fights for the first time since his first career defeat against former IBF world champion Lee Haskins [36(14)-4(3)].

The Mulingar fighter was last seen in Golden Contract action and suffering defeat to Leigh Wood, but didn’t take a gimme return.

‘The Punisher’ is straight back into title action and quite possibly takes a serious step up in terms of opponent in the process.

Joyce will move down in weight as he bids for the WBO European super-bantamweight crown against the respected Welsh slickster.

Joyce won the featherweight version of the title with a spectacular stoppage of Stephen Tiffney in Dubai back in April will be looking to emulate the success on the first MTKFightNight of the new year.

Irish fight fans will remember Haskin as the man Ryan Burnett dethroned to become IBF bantamweight champion of the world.

‘Playboy’ is also a European, Commonwealth and two weight British champion.

Since his defeat to Burnett he has registered two wins and has moved up to super bantamweight.

Joining Joyce vs. Haskins on the bill is the showdown between Sean McComb and Mauro Maximiliano Godoy plus Steven Donnelly, Gary Cully, Padraig McCrory, Dee Sullivan, Callum Bradley, Ruairi Dalton, Pierce O’Leary, Taylor McGoldrick and more.
