Conrad Cummings to feature on Frampton-Santa Cruz undercard

He first faces a real test in Frankie Borg next month in Cardiff, but Conrad Cummings has been handed a spot on the Frampton-Santa Cruz undercard in New York City.

Cummings takes on former Welsh champ Borg [9(3)-5(4)] at the Ice Arena on May 14th, knowing that a spot awaits on yet another massive card.

If all goes to plan it will mean that the Tyrone puncher will have fought on World title undercards in six of his first eleven bouts – an amazing stat.

His fight in the Big Apple will be Cummings’s second Stateside scrap, and the Coalisland boxer will be hoping for another credible opponent. On his American debut in Texas last year Cummings fought the dangerous Oscar Riojas, scoring a second round knockout on the Frampton-Gonzalez undercard.

Dynamite however will not be looking past May 14th and the wily veteran Borg. This clash is due to be shown live on Spike TV.

Also confirmed for the Frampton-Santa Cruz Summer showdown is Josh Taylor who is a Cyclone and McGuigan’s Gym stablemate of both ‘The Jackal’ and Cummings.
