Conlan eyes Belfast Summer date and is willing to go to war with Nelson again

He has a busy Summer ahead and plans a month in Rio come August, but Jamie Conlan wants a July date in Belfast before he heads to South America.

‘The Mexican’ is heading to Brazil to support his brother Micheal in the Olympics, but would love to defend his newly acquired Commonwealth title and  fight at home for the first time in two years this July.

The Frank Warren promoted super flyweight wants an Summer fight in the Ulster Hall and is willing to give the man he went to war with in the Copper Box on Saturday night a rematch.

Conlan said he has no issue with an Anthony Nelson return  and repeating a fight that has drawn Gatti Ward comparisons.

“I want the Ulster Hall in July. I would even take him again and we could scrap it out in the Ulster Hall. I am sure it is one the fans would love to see,” Conlan told Irish press post fight.
