Christopher Blaney lastest name to be added to Leeside Revolution

Christopher Blaney [11(3)-2(0)] is the latest confirmed addition to the Leeside Revolution show.

The first pro show to visit Cork in over a decade is just three weeks away, but names are still being added to a stacked card.

Blaney becomes the newest addition to the Martin Horgan promoted show and joins an eclectic cast ready to perform on the night.

The July 20 Neptune Stadium hosted clash will be ‘The Ginja Ninja’s’ first fight on home soil since his appearance in Last Man Standing in March of 2018.

It will also provide him with the chance to get back to winning ways after he suffered a defeat he contests against Tom Stokes in Northampton last time out.

Since returning from a long eye injury enforced lay off the Navan fighter took two tough relatively tough fights.

After one ring rusting freeing clash the Ricky Hatton trained fighter rematched Owen Joburn, with whom he drew, then fought Stokes, to whom he lost, both away from home.

With just three weeks lead up to Cork a return to journeyman opposition looks likely, but Blaney has been clear he wants an Irish title shot as soon as possible.

The Cork bill will be topped by Noel Murphy, who returns home from America to fight in his native county for the first time. Also appearing are the likes of Graham McCormack,  Siobhan O’Leary, Tommy Hyde in an amateur exhibition, Waterford favourite Craig McCarthy, Stephen McAfee, Irish light middleweight champion Craig O’Brien, Sam Carroll, Katelynn Phelan and of course the anticipated clash between Owen Duffy and Eddie Tracey.

Irish-boxing.com believes more names will be added in due course.
