Christina Linardatou pushed Katie Taylor hard in Manchester last night and the recently-deposed WBO light welterweight champion continued her aggressive in the immediate aftermath of the bout.

As things were wrapping up at Taylor’s press conference in the bowels of the Manchester Arena, Linardatou would enter the room flanked by coach Manolis Lavdakis and manager Brian Cohen.

Taylor’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, would offer up the top table to Team Medusa and the trio would embark on a long-winded rant after what they perceived was a robbery in the ring.

The bombastic Cohen would slam ‘The Vince McMahon of Boxing’ Hearn, criticising the size of the ring and accusing Taylor of running throughout the ten rounds.

Linardatou, for whom English is her third language, would then accuse Taylor and her supporters of fooling themselves – noting how both she and Delfine Persoon had beaten the Olympic gold medallist only to be denied by the scorecards.

Going further Linardatou labelled Taylor a ‘fake’ in what was a testy few minutes.
