Chisinau Cyclone believes Creagh and Carroll will move weight to avoid fighting him

With Facebook comedy character ‘Chanto’ posting the questions there was a light hearted feel to Victor Rabei’s first interview ahead of his pro debt, but there were no smiles when he was asked about the light welterweight division he will be joining.

Moldovan-born Rabei is to enter the paid game on Red Corner’s June 24th installment and is looking to make an early impact.

Indeed, it seems as if he is ready to stir things up well before he lands a first paid punch.

The Dublin-based fighter says he wants clashes with Celtic Nations champion Stephen Carroll – as well as another not a afraid of a call out, Sean Creagh. Both are in ‘Celtic Clash 2: The Rising’ action tomorrow, but that hasn’t stopped Rabei making early call outs.

The Chisinau Cyclone went one further and confidently suggested both would go as far as to change weight category in a bid to avoid him once the see how good he is.

“I really want to get through the domestic scene, I want Sean Creagh and Stephen Carroll, these are the fights I want.”

When asked if he’d consider moving weight due to the names in the division Victor added “absolutely not. I believe when they see me box they’ll be the ones to drop weight.”
