Geraghty was ahead 30-28 on the referee’s score card, but unawares when docked the point feared he was about to lose his unbeaten record and went for the a knock out. Over exuberant he pushed up with his head and the referee awarded the win to Carroll.

Most ring side had it too close to call and going into the last after a brilliant opening three rounds.

Geraghty granted Carroll’s war wish and tried to exert dominance from the off he winged in big shots with a degree of success.

Carroll, however landed a big right hand that stiffened Pretty Boy’s toes never mind his legs. The former Senior Champ to his credit took it and ended the round swinging. The second round followed a similar trend both exchanging non stop blows. Geraghty did ship another big hook in close and Carroll sensed he could finish.

However a cut above the Celtic Gym Warriors eye forced the referee to get doctors advice. That time proved perfect recovery time for the MGM stylist and he finished the round well.

The third was another pick’em round, an entertaining hard to call all out war.

The fourth followed suit, but when Geraghty got docked a point for use of the elbow he came out flying worried for his unbeaten status and in over exuberance used his head forcing the ref to disqualify him.
