ANOTHER new Belfast show announced

Kieran Farrell will make his entry into the Irish promotional scene sooner than expected.

It had been believed that the young Manchester promoter would begin to run shows in Belfast during the Autumn, but it has today been confirmed that his first fight night will take place on Saturday April 22nd.

The card, titled ‘A New Era’ will take place at the Devenish Complex in West Belfast.

Earlier today Farrell confirmed seven new Irish signings and many of these will feature on the Belfast bill.

There will be a debut for 2014 Commonwealth bronze medalist Sean McGlinchey. A light heavy in the amateurs, the Derry boxer is aiming to move to super middle in the pros. Feargal McCrory [3(1)-0] will also feature on the bill. The Tyrone lightweight is trained by the legendary John Breen – who also trained Kieran Farrell back when ‘Vicious’ was a pro boxer. Then there are returns to action for four Belfast punchers. Big-hitting super feather Mathew Fitzsimons [2(2)-0], crowd-pleasing scrapper Dan McShane [9(3)-1(1)], and veterans Gerard Healy [5(0)-4(1)-1] and Joe Hillerby [11(2)-3(2)] will all box on the bill.

Tickets for ‘A New Era’ are available from the boxers involved and cost £20 (standing), £35 (unreserved seating), and £60 (VIP table seating).

The list of professional shows scheduled to take place in Ireland this year so far is:
Saturday February 4th – Europa Hotel, Belfast – MHD Promotions
