Lee Reeves delighted his home nation can watch him fight on BoxNation

Lee Reeves [4(3)-0] is excited at the prospect of his fight being broadcast on BoxNation as it allows his home fans to see what the hype is about.

The Limerick fighter has earned praise for his performances in Canada since turning over last November and really impressed some respected fight aficionados when he out pointed Edward Torres on the undercard of Michael Conlan’s most recent trip to Madison Square Garden Theater on St Patrick’s Day.

However, those at home haven’t quite got to share in the excitement as the majority of footage of the 24-year-old has been relayed social media footage.

That should change this weekend as his return to the ring will open a BoxNation broadcast card on Saturday night and the stylist is ‘delighted’.

“I am delighted my fight is gonna be on live TV back home because it give the fans with they want- and that’s what I wanna do. I want to give the fans what they want,” Reeves told Irish-Boxing.com.

Reeves appears on the undercard of Custio Clayton takes on Johan Perez for the the vacant IBF Intercontinental and NABA welterweight titles at Niagara Falls, Canada.

The southpaw drops down the card having drawn a crowd when he topped last time out, but has no issue with returning to a supporting role.

The prospect is aware there is still some dues earning to be done and is just content in the knowledge he is continually handed a platform to build.

“Not one bit,” he responds when asks if he has issue with his place on the card.

“I am still learning and in the apprentice stage of pro boxing. I’m just excited to be fighting so frequently. I’d fight anywhere.”

While at present he just happy to be part of a high enough profile card, Reeves is also happy to see to his promoter Lee Baxter has the capabilities of running such shows in Toronto. It’s something he thinks he can benefit from moving forward.

“My promoter is doing an amazing job with me and his stable. These shows are proof of that and we will perform on the big stage to not let him down.”

A performance on a TV show would be ideal for the fan friendly fighter this weekend, but he claims the most important thing is to secure victory.

“Of course you wanna look good for cameras, but I’m only looking to go 5 and 0. Whatever way that comes I’ll take it,” he adds before discussing his opponent Dominik Csaba Karoly.

“I’m facing a super welterweight opponent that has only one loss on his record. He is coming down to welter to fight and I’m going up to welter. He has done six rounds before so I know it will go a few rounds.”
