London Calling – Four Irish fighters secure bouts at the famous York Hall

By Jonny Stapleton | on April 13, 2019 |
Headline News

Four Irish fighters will box at the famous York Hall in London this summer.

Assassin quartet Victor Rabei, Craig McCarthy, Owen Duffy, and Cillian Reardon will all feature on a Hellraiser bill at the Bethnal Green venue on Saturday June 22nd.

All four boxed on the TG4-aired Clash of the Titans bill last month and will continue their progress in June before, all going well, the big Dylan Moran homecoming card long-mooted for Waterford in September.

BUI Celtic light welterweight champion Victor Rabei [7(2)-0] defended his title against Jake Hanney last month and will keep busy with a six rounder on the May 18th MHD bill in Belfast. This will lead into a major ten-round fight on the York Hall bill – potentially a rematch with Hanney.

Waterford super middleweight McCarthy [6(1)-0] is being primed for a title fight on the September card and will build towards this in London.

Shercock light middle Duffy [4(2)-1(0)] lost to Jake Best last month when he ventured over to London. Returning in June, a rematch with his Assassin stablemate is understood to be a strong possibility for the card.

Stillorgan light middle Reardon [5(0)-0] is another that is closing in on a BUI Celtic title fight and another tough six rounder is in order here before a big fight
