What’s life without challenges- I’m not stopping until I’m World champ say Kavanagh
Signing with Golden Boy, working in the Wild Card alongside Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan, learning your trade on massive World title cards, being tested on cards so big you are guaranteed exposure. It seemed a perfect start to pro life for Jamie Kavanagh.
‘The Nuisance’ then returned to Europe ready to build a base at home, he was eyeing up the British lightweight scene and the World champs within it and even stated a desire to make a fight between him and friend Stephen Ormond a viable and lucrative Dublin match up.
However, things have been stop start for the Dubliner since he left the States. The 25 year old fought three times last year, but has yet to trade leather in 2016. Kavanagh has also had some personal tragedy’s to deal with outside of the ring and saw a chance to claim a WBO European title and World ranking taken from him by the Regency incident.
Some fight fans were just about to question what next and the former amateur underage standout and fan friendly fighter has revealed he will have big news in the near future.
Speaking on social media Kavanagh, who is a close friend of Conor McGregor also vowed to stay in the fight game until his dreams are achieved.

To all my fans, friends and immediate family wondering what’s next for me in my career, I promise you all that I have some big news coming very shortly. Life has not been easy the past two years but what’s life without its challenges? My goals and future plans have not changed and no hurdle will get in the way of my dream. I am as motivated and driven like never before and eager to get back in between the ropes.
An unfortunate incident took away the opportunity of becoming the WBO European Lightweight Champion but make no mistake, I am coming for that belt and I’m not stopping there. The day that I move on from Boxing to the next chapter of my life will be the day I become WORLD CHAMPION! As always, thank you everyone for all the support!
