Scott Quigg will bring a game plan bestowed upon him by the World’s best trainer in 2015 when he fights Carl Frampton on February 27 according to Ring Magazine.

The Bury man’s coach Joe Gallagher, whose parents hail from Sligo, became the first ever British coach to pick up the historical Ring Magazine Trainer of the Year Award.

The Bolton based trainer was rewarded for bringing Liam Smith and Anthony Crolla to world titles, whilst developing his stable of fighters over the calender year.

There is no doubt IBF World Champion Frampton or indeed his coach Shane McGuigan will pay no mind to Gallagher winning the award. Indeed both have claimed they have little time for the Manchester trainer and both have stressed the Belfast man has the ability and the game plan to win the massive PPV fight.

However, the award may give Quigg some form of confidence boost going into the fight and he may have further faith in the game plan his coach has laid out.
