Top Pro Gif Ad
It was a quiet but successful weekend for Irish boxers around the World.

Topping the bill at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, ‘Irish’ Cam O’Connell had an impressive stoppage victory. The Alberta lightweight of Dublin descent scored a third round stoppage of Hungarian Olympian Norbert Kalucza to move to [12(8)-0-1]. The Canadian is back in action at the end of next month (October 28th v Mario Perez).

Kildare light middleweight Dennis Hogan moved back into the WBO World rankings on Saturday morning in Brisbane. ‘The Hurricane’ won the organisation’s Oriental title with a ten-round points victory over Cameroon-born Samuel Colomban to move to Dennis Hogan [24(7)-1(0)-1]. The 31 year old has now set his sights on a big fight with one of the divisions top names.
