There is plenty of World title action this weekend with the likes of Golovkin-Brook, Cuadras-Gonzalez, Easer-Commey, but there are also some Irish fighters stepping through the ropes.

On Friday at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Canada, Cam O’Connell [11(7)-0-1] tops the bill. The lightweight of Dublin descent takes on Hungarian Olympian Norbert Kalucza over eight rounds.

Saturday morning on the other side of the World there is a title fight for Kildare’s Dennis Hogan [23(7)-1(0)-1]. The light middleweight is looking to re-enter the World rankings, and will aim to do so by beating Cameroon-born Samuel Colomban for the WBO Oriental title in Brisbane.
