It’s a relatively quiet weekend for Irish boxing ahead of the huge two-show November 5th, but there are still some fighters in action all over the globe.

On Friday across the Atlantic, there are Wild Geese in action on two separate cards in Canada. Logan McGuinness [23(10)-0-1] makes his return to the ring after 15 months out with an eight-round bout at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino in Calgary. ‘Cotton’ takes on Noel Mejia Rincon at welterweight on his return.

1200 kilometers to the east in Winnipeg, Red Deer lightweight Cam O’Connell [12(8)-0-1] has another tough fight at the Club Regent Casino & Event Centre when he takes on Abraham Gomez.

On Saturday in Scotland there is a quick turnaround for Jono Carroll [11(1)-0] who is back in action on the MGM Scotland Capital Punishment show at the Meadowbank Sports Centre in Edinburg. The Dunshaughlin super feather will face a to-be-confirmed opponent in what will be his second bout in five weeks.

Heading south, The Cinderella Man Peter McDonagh [26(3)-28(2)-1] boxes in London on a Steve Wraith Promotions card at the Tolworth Recreation Centre. The Irish welterweight champion was due to fight on the cancelled Fury-Klitschko refixed rematch at the Manchester Arena before finding a spot on the card in the capital. The evergreen Galway man will fight over eight rounds against a to-be-confirmed opponent.

Then, in Plymouth, Guernsey-Irishman Tom Duff [3(0)-0] takes the ferry over to the Guild Hall for a step up to eight rounds. The 37 year old middleweight will face Christian Hoskin Gomez.

Finally, on Sunday, Gearoid Clancy [5(0)-4(1)] boxes in Australia. The Oughterard lightweight fights at Club Punchbowl in Sydney against Ray Thompson, hoping to end a run of two defeats.
