Last Chance – Wayne Kenny to go again

Wayne Kenny looks set to end a rocky start to life in the pro game and finally make his professional debut.

The Darndale light welterweight ‘turned pro’ in 2017, training under Declan Geraghty Sr, but saw two debut dates fall through last year.

Kenny’s luck now finally looks to be turning, with the scrapper securing a licence from the Boxing Union of Ireland and now building towards a proposed start date on a to-be-confirmed show in September.

34 next week, it really is the last chance saloon for the former Edenmore amateur and semi-pro competitor who has remained training under Geraghty throughout.

Kenny told Irish-Boxing.com that “I’ve had nothing but bad luck. This is the last throw of the dice and I’m looking forward to it.”
