WATCH: Drama as opponent misses weight by miles – but naked Paddy Barnes comes in under

Paddy Barnes [4(0)-0] had to part with his pants to make weight this afternoon in Belfast.

After coming in a few ounces over for his WBO Intercontinental title fight on the ‘Frampton Reborn’ bill tomorrow at the SSE Odyssey Arena, Barnes ditched his jocks and tipped the scales half a pound under the 112lbs flyweight limit.

‘The Leprechaun’ fights Nicaraguan Eliecer [21(8)-6(2)-3] Quezada for the vacant belt on the BT Sport-broadcast bill tomorrow – and the Central American had an even worse time on the scales.

The visitor came in at 116lbs, a full four pounds over and technically two weights up at bantamweight.

Quezada was given two hours to shed the excess, and attempted to do so, but could not boil his body down to the championship weight.

An agreement was reached, however, and the fight tomorrow night will still go ahead, but only WBO #14 Barnes can will the belt. Should Quezada triumph, the belt will remain vacant.
