As he so often does, Carl Frampton [23(14)-1(0)] gave up his time yesterday for a charity event.
‘The Jackal’ was in Dundrod, where the Ulster GP is currently taking place, for a dinner and auction with champion motorcyclist Lee Johnston.
The night was hosted by broadcaster Mark Sidebottom and the funds raised went toward the F13K Cancer charity and Marie Curie Northern Ireland.
Before the main course however, Frampton was given a taste of the circuit at Dundrod, being brought around at high speed by the Fermanagh racer.
Afterwards the Belfast featherweight would describe the lap as “the maddest thing I’ve ever done.”
