WATCH: 2016 Irish KO of the Year winner does it again!

One of the biggest KO artists in Irish amateur boxing added another clip to the highlight reel on Sunday.

Ballina BC lightweight Frankie Cleary won the 2016 Irish-Boxing.com KO of the Year and looks like he will be a contender for the 2018 award following a massive stoppage in Portugal.

The National Elite runner-up and European Junior silver medallist was in action at the Odivelas Box Cup and won his final versus home fighter Julien Baillifard.

A massive left hook put his Portuguese opponent down in the third round and the fight was immediately waved off, with Baillifard needing a full minute on the canvas before being brought back to his feet.

Another huge finish, Cleary was the pick of the 2016 finishes with a stoppage of another Portuguese fighter, Rui Barros, in the final of the Celtic Box Cup.

Not bad preparations for the 2019 Elite Seniors!
