Tyrone McKenna believes home advantage crucial in Belfast v Dublin war with Darragh Foley

Tyrone McKenna [18(6)-1(0)-1] predicts that home advantage will play a crucial part in his all-Irish clash with Dubliner Darragh Foley later this month.

The Belfast light welter takes on the Dubliner in a potential classic at the Ulster Hall on Friday June 22nd.

Two ultra-confident southpaws, McKenna believes he will edge proceedings and pick up the WBC International rankings titles and feels that the Belfast fans will play a part.

Foley [17(9)-3(0)-1] lives in Sydney and the Blanchardstown banger has yet to fight in Ireland. Recent Ulster Hall domestics has seen Belfast super feather Marco McCullough knock out Dubliner Luke Keeler while the Fair City’s Luke Keeler defeated Conrad Cummings – a Tyrone puncher with lots of links to the Titanic City.

McKenna is adamant that Belfast will prevail this month and that the atmospheric venue will be completely in his corner.

He said that “the Ulster Hall will be one man’s house and that’s mine.”

“I’m the Belfast hero, loved by my supporters and the city.”

“On the night, my fans will take the place over as they usually and do and drown out whatever fans he brings from Dublin.”

“I’ve fought in big title bouts in my hometown before but there’s something special about headlining a historic place like Ulster Hall against someone from a rival city.”

The long Lenadoon puncher thinks that he will put on his best peformance yet in his fourth domestic duel.

McKenna outlined how “I truly believe this’ll be my biggest night and all it does is spur me on to bring the best Tyrone McKenna into that ring.”

“I’m massively up for this and I’m just very, very excited.”
