TV times for Irish boxers in action tonight

It’s a busy night for Irish boxing, with fighters in action on three major televised cards.

All times are Irish time.

First up will be Dubliner Jay Byrne [5(1)-2(0)] who again goes into the lion’s den against a big Matchroom prospect.

‘The Negotiator’ takes on Rio Olympian Anthony Fowler [2(2)-0] at the Echo Arena in Liverpool and is the second fight on the televised portion of the bill.

Byrne is expected in the ring at about 7:20pm, and his fight can be watched live on Sky Sports Arena (Sky channel 408).

The big one then takes place in Latvia. Cork-Cuban Mike Perez [22(14)-2(1)-1] challenges WBC champion Mairis Briedis [22(18)-0] in the quarter finals of the World Boxing Super Series.

Perez is expected in the ring at 10:00pm and the fight is available to be viewed for free on ITV Box Office (Sky channel 493). However, access to the channel is restricted to viewers with a Sky HD box.

Finally, Gary O’Sullivan [25(17)-2(1)] headlines a Golden Boy Boxing on ESPN card at the House of Blues.

The Cork middleweight takes on Nick Quigley [15(3)-2(1)] in the main event in Boston, with live coverage in America on ESPN Deportes, with the broadcast set to begin at 4:00am.

O’Sullivan’s fight will not be shown on Irish television.

Mayo lightweight Ray Moylette features on the untelevised undercard in Boston against Michael Clark, however a stream may be provided on the Murphys Boxing Facebook page.
