The Iceman Returns – New fight date for Keane McMahon

Following a big gap since his debut, a return date has been confirmed for Keane McMahon.

The Dublin welterweight made an impressive debut last May but has not fought since.

That night he easily dominated Lukasz Kuc, impressing in the process of claiming a four-round points decision.

A second fight date had been scheduled for September but personal issues forced McMahon off this card.

The David Murphy-managed former amateur talent will now finally return on Saturday February 17th on the ‘Ring Kings’ bill at the WIT Arena in Waterford.

23 year old McMahon will fight i a four rounder against an opponent that will be confirmed in the near future.

Promoter of the event Neil Power described how the “six-time underage national champion who represented his country over 20 times will be looking to show why he’s such a hotly tipped prospect.”

‘The Iceman’ McMahon becomes the eighth fighter confirmed for the bill, joining local trio Barry Barnes, Rohan Date, and Craig McCarthy, along with Eric Donovan, Graham McCormack O’Shea, Michael Kalilec, and John Joyce.
