Sean Turner loving life as an MGM fighter

Dublin heavyweight knockout artist Sean Turner got the rounds in.at the weekend in Marbella. ‘Big Sexy’ was ebrought the distance by ultra-durable Lithuanian, Igoris Borucha, and extended his unbeaten record to 6(4)-0.

After the fight, Turner spoke to SunSport’s Kevin Byrne and gave his frank opinion on the bout. The Dub felt that “my fight went well, as well as it could I suppose.”

“I was a bit rusty and your man was tough.”

Indeed ‘Big Sexy’ was complimentary of the
Baltic bruiser, explaining that “other lads just came in and kept the gloves up and stood straight in front of me. He was moving the head and throwing big shots over the top — he was no clown.”

However the 24 year old feels that “If I was fitter I’d say I’d have stopped him.”

“I just need to be fitter. I’m after getting a bit fitter since the last fight.”

“I think the four rounds did me good.”

As far as his plans for the rest of the year, Turner revealed that “I’m going to be out three more times before Christmas so I’ll keep building on these fights.” A step-up to six rounds is also in the pipeline for the popular Dub.

“I just want to keep getting better and better.”
